Kadıköy Ragbi Spor Kulübü

Kulüp Tarihi

Rugby started in Kadikoy in 2006. Led by former

Ottomans player Mert Ataray and couple of

students, the group started a new page of

Turkish rugby by creating the first ever registered

Rugby club in Turkey. After a year the group

struggled to keep the club running and by the

end of the season kadikoy rugby club

disappeared.

In 2011, former kadikoy rugby players and coach

worked really hard to bring back rugby in

Kadikoy. There was a clear demand in kadikoy

for rugby and it just needed couple of

passionate people to rise the club from its

ashes. The club reborned in september 2011

under the name of Kadikoy Rugby Football Club.

The person behind this project are Sedar CAM (president of the club), Akin ASLAN (vice president), Julien TREU(manager), Noyan(financial controller), Hilmi kocak(Communication manager), Omer Arisoy (financial coordinator). This team showed great devotion and gave all their heart in making this project happen. This wouldn t be possible without the great friendship, respect and team spirit between the group.
In kadikoy we believe in the values of our beloved game:

INTEGRITY - Integrity is central to the fabric of the Game and is generated through honesty and fair play.

PASSION - Rugby people have a passionate enthusiasm for the Game. Rugby generates excitement, emotional attachment and a sense of belonging to the global Rugby family

SOLIDARITY - Rugby provides a unifying spirit that leads to lifelong friendships, camaraderie, teamwork and loyalty which transcends cultural, geographic, political and religious differences

DISCIPLINE - Discipline is an integral part of the Game, both on and off the field, and is reflected through adherence to the Laws, the Regulations and Rugby’s core values

RESPECT - Respect for team mates, opponents, match officials and those involved in the Game is paramount

Passion of the game is the spine of our club and we will make sure this will stay as it is.
